Four headline golfers in Western Australia for the ISPS HANDA Perth International began their tournament week teeing off across Perth’s new $2.6billion landmark development Elizabeth Quay this morning before they hit the course at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.
The new entertainment and leisure precinct, connecting the Swan River to the Perth CBD, opened to the public earlier this month and has already made a huge impact with both locals and visitors to the city.
Louis Oosthuizen (South Africa), Thorbjorn Olesen (Denmark), Victor Dubuisson (France) and Perth’s Brett Rumford toured Elizabeth Quay by golf buggy, stopping for a photo at the impressive sculpture First Contact with the event trophy, and finished with a cheeky tee off over the Swan River inlet.
